Department of Nursing - Associate Degree Program


St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis is a comprehensive Catholic university with the nation's largest college for women at its center. Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1905, the University integrates liberal arts and professional education within the Catholic traditions of intellectual inquiry and social teaching. Associate and Graduate programs enroll both women and men.


The Department of Nursing invites applicants for a .75 FTE ranked faculty positions in the Department of Nursing. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.


Responsibilities: Teaching students in the classroom and laboratory/clinical settings, and engaging in scholarship and service per University guidelines.


Requirements: Master's degree in nursing and eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Minnesota are required. Recent clinical experience in adult medical/surgical nursing and teaching experience in an undergraduate nursing program are required. Doctoral degree in nursing, experience teaching pre-licensure students, and recent acute care clinical experience are preferred.


The Department of Nursing faculty is committed to educating learners to be leaders in nursing through experience in classroom and simulated laboratory/clinical settings and to providing access to diverse groups of students. Associate degree students are encouraged to advance their nursing careers. The Nursing curricula are organized in such a way that students can easily ladder to a baccalaureate or higher degree. We seek creative, adaptable faculty who are comfortable with the mission of this Catholic institution and enjoy working in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity and multicultural understanding.
