St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis is a comprehensive Catholic university with the nation's largest college for women at its center. Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1905, the University integrates liberal arts and professional education within the Catholic traditions of intellectual inquiry and social teaching. Committed to excellence and opportunity, St. Catherine enrolls over 5,200 students in associate, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral programs in both traditional day and weekend formats. Associate and Graduate programs enroll both women and men.


The Department of Nursing invites applicants for a full-time faculty position to teach in the graduate programs particularly in the post baccalaureate RN master's entry option beginning Summer 2014. This program is designed for the adult learner so has evening and weekend classes. Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience.


Responsibilities: Teaching students in the classroom, online, and in the clinical setting, and engaging in scholarship and service per University guidelines.


Requirements: Master's degree in Nursing required, doctoral degree preferred. Teaching experience in an academic setting and eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Minnesota are required. Current or recent clinical experience in acute care, preferably medical surgical nursing, preferred. Previous experience teaching pre-licensure students and graduate level teaching, commitment to collaborative engagement with student advisees, and commitment to collaborative research with faculty and graduate students are also preferred.
