Job Description:


Bellarmine University has an opening for Associate Director of the Family Nurse Practitioner track. The position includes both teaching and administrative responsibilities. The primary teaching component will include undergraduate and graduate classroom and clinical/practica supervision. Administrative responsibilities include: 1) coordinating the didactic and clinical components of the FNP program, in conjunction with the Chair of Graduate Nursing Studies; 2) providing support to FNP faculty; 3) assisting the Chair of Graduate Nursing Studies with staffing and scheduling of FNP track courses; 4) promoting quality of the FNP program through curriculum validation and evaluation processes; 5) reviewing program data to ensure accreditation and licensing requirements are met; 6) participating in FNP student recruitment, admission, progression, and retention processes; 7) FNP student orientation and advising; 8) collaborating with faculty colleagues on long and short range planning for the program; and 9) soliciting advisory opinions about the FNP track from students, community, employers and alumni. Position is available during the fall 2013 semester.


Requirements:


DNP or PhD strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years FNP experience, strong potential for program administration and leadership, recent teaching experience at the university level, relevant professional certification and licensure
