Posting Description: Seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for a per diem position to work at various Denver Metropolitan area clinic locations (Carin' Clinic, Sheridan Health Services, Baker Elementary/Adams City High School) providing healthcare to a select populations of children and adolescents.
Examples of Work Performed:
1. Performs accurate history and physical examinations
2. Provides healthcare to children and adolescents including ordering and evaluation of diagnostic tests and management of minor complications.
3. Provides individualized client teaching and counseling utilizing evidence based practice.
4. Identifies deviations from normal and consults as needed.
5. Completes necessary documentation.
6. Instructs and supervises students and other learners as assigned.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: · Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing · Current certification in specialty area, as appropriate to position · Colorado RN and APN licensure · Current clinical expertise in specialty area · 2 years experience in advanced practice · Prescriptive Authority & DEA · BLS Certification
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and abilities: · Considerable degree of independent judgment is necessary to monitor and respond to changes in a client's condition. · Interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and other members of the health care team. · This is a health care environment with some exposure to biological hazards and infectious disease. · Take one week-at-a-time on-call in a rotation schedule.
