The successful candidate will:
1. Maintain high standards and promote excellence in education in theory, laboratory and clinical nursing;
2. Assist the Chair of Practical Nursing in scheduling and confirming use of clinical sites;
3.Assist the Chair of Practical Nursing in developing curriculum content, including course syllabi, program outlines, articulation, and catalog materials;
4. Teach courses as assigned;
5. Serve as academic advisor and mentor.
Requirements/Required & Preferred Credentials:
- Hold an unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse license;
- Possess an earned master's degree in nursing (preferred); earned baccalaureate degree in nursing required;
- Possess a minimum of two years full-time experience in nursing (or its equivalent) within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in the area of clinical instruction;
- Demonstrate and maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities;
- Experience with electronic teaching devices and simulation desirable.
Compensation:
Commensurate based on education and experience.
