Located in Central Florida, Lake-Sumter State College is a multi-campus institution annually serving over 7,500 students. Our main campus is located in Leesburg, which is less than an hour north of Orlando. We also have additional sites in Clermont and Sumterville.
This position is located on the Clermont (South Lake) campus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
MS in Nursing required. Doctorate preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT:
Recent clinical skills and teaching experience. Knowledge and experience in using advanced technology equipment, including simulators. Participate in simulation training programs. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team. Ability to demonstrate the four College Service Excellence Standards of respect, competence, responsiveness and collaboration when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the Nursing Skills Lab. Collaborates with all faculty to teach, monitor and evaluate student psychomotor skills and simulation activities. Teaches lecture content in collaboration with lead course instructor. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
