The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Nursing Department, to begin August 2014. The Department of Nursing at the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton is seeking applicants for one full-time, permanent, tenure track practical nurse faculty position at the undergraduate level.
Responsibilities: Conduct didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction; plan and participate in program, department, college and university activities; prepare instructional and learning guides for courses; evaluate student comprehension of didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction using criterion referenced methods of evaluation; participate in curriculum development and revision process; maintain clinical expertise; participate in scholarly activity, university and community service. Voluntary summer or winter contracts may be available. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed as a registered nurse in New York State. Bachelor of Science degree in nursing required. A Master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution will be required for tenure.
