Miller-Motte College (MMC) has an immediate opening for a Nursing Assistant Program Director. The Program Director works to fulfill school objectives by providing leadership in curriculum development, planning, coordinating, staffing, and training in the assigned program area under the guidance of the Director of Education. Program Directors must also meet and fulfill the duties and responsibilities of Instructors.

There are a lot of great medical assistant programs to choose from, but a Miller-Motte education emphasizes hands-on administrative and clinical experience. Some schools don't offer such a well-rounded nursing assistant training program, but Miller-Motte's instructors know what it takes to be successful.

Qualifications:



  • Masters' degree required

  • Must possess specialized training, industry experience, or documented special competency/certification

  • Three+ years related field experience

  • Three+ years teaching experience preferred

  • Previous educational or related supervisory experience

  • Meet requirements of Instructor and capable of teaching a majority of the courses within the program area

  • Must possess current NC state license


Additional knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the training field

  • Ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement in preparation for meeting employer expectations

  • Ability to organize, problem solve, handle multiple tasks, and function as a team member within established school, state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities:


a. Assist the Director of Education in the hiring, development, evaluation, and termination of program area instructors.


b. Orient, monitor, supervise, mentor, and assist new instructors.


c. Ensure that all program area Instructors adhere to required administrative and classroom delivery duties and requirements as outlined in the job description for Instructor.


d. Ensure completeness of faculty files and documentation of official transcripts, professional development, observations, and performance reviews.


e. Provide leadership and support to full-time and part-time day and evening instructors and supervise their instructional and program needs.


f. In coordination with the Director of Education, observe classes within program area and coach instructors to continually improve instructional presentation and classroom management skills.


g. Provide input to the Director of Education regarding performance appraisals of department faculty members including areas of strength and recommendations for improvement and future skill set development.
