Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required. Clinical specialization in nursing required. NYS RN License. Evidence of clinical competency and professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience in an undergraduate and/or graduate nursing program. Previous teaching experience in distance education modalities. Clinical practice experience. Proven performance in teaching students. Clinical expertise. Strong communication skills and professionalism.
Responsibilities & Requirements: The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students using on-site/distance education modalitites. The incumbent will be accountable for successful teaching and learning practices. S/he will collaborate with faculty in nursing and in other disciplines to advance the programs, activities and mission of the School, including research. The Clinical Instructor will participate in faculty governance activities and service within the School of Nursing and the University.
Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated start date: 09/01/2013
