The University of Virginia School of Nursing has several positions open for established researchers and tenured/tenure track faculty members who want to join one of the nation's top nursing programs.


Open faculty positions: We seek established researchers and clinical scholars from areas including (but not limited to) acute and critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, oncology, palliative care, diabetes care, public and rural health, health disparities, nursing health services research, and complementary and alternative therapies and history. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with established programs of research, a commitment to external funding, and either exceptional teaching experience or an APRN certification and current practice. Applicants must have a PhD degree in nursing or a related field, and be eligible for licensure in Virginia.


Salary, faculty rank and tenure are commensurate with education, experience and scholarship, and joint appointments are available. UVA also offers generous start-up packages, reimbursement for moving expenses and the chance to conduct research at some of the nation's top facilities.
