The University of Houston-Victoria School of Nursing seeks a qualified applicant with expertise and experience for a Tenure or Clinical Track position to support the RN-BSN and MSN programs in Victoria beginning January 6, 2014.
Faculty responsibilities include: ongoing curriculum development and evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction using on-site, simulation, and distance education strategies in the undergraduate and graduate programs; some travel; participation in school and university committees; engaging in scholarship, service and academic advising.
Qualifications:
1. Doctorate or substantial progress toward doctorate in nursing or related field preferred. Master's degree in nursing required.
2. Candidate must possess or be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
3. Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
4. Excellent clinical and communication skills.
5. Teaching experience preferred.
6. Specialty certification.
The School of Nursing is proud of its excellent Second Degree BSN, RN-BSN and MSN academic programs, innovative hybrid-online education, simulation laboratory, and supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. Ability to teach in the newly developed Family Nurse Practitioner program is a plus. We value diversity in our faculty, students and staff at all levels of instructional support.
