The University of Virginia School of Nursing has openings for general track faculty members interested in joining one of the nation's top nursing programs.
Open faculty positions: We seek experienced teachers with strong clinical experience in a variety of specialty areas including (but not limited to) geriatrics, women's health, pediatrics, oncology, palliative care, diabetes care, public and rural health, health disparities, nursing health services research, complementary and alternative therapies and nursing history. Nursing faculty will lecture in the classroom and supervise students in a variety of clinical settings.
A PhD in nursing or related field or a DNP, strong clinical experience in a specialty area (especially acute care, obstetrics and family practice nursing), and experience working with students and teaching a specialty area are required. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in Virginia. Preference will be given to those with an acute care nurse practitioner or family nurse practitioner certification as well as a commitment to quality and excellence in interdisciplinary learning environments. Salary and faculty rank are commensurate with education and experience.
