General Function
The Instructor is a member of the ranked faculty whose duties require effectiveness in teaching, a commitment to staying current with their discipline and appropriate pedagogies, and a willingness to serve the academic unit, college and/or University. The Instructor’s teaching responsibilities are assigned by the academic department head and may include serving as an academic advisor. Effective January 1 2007, the Instructor rank is a tenure-track appointment only for faculty appointed by the two-year open admissions campus at West Plains and the Greenwood Laboratory School.
Description of Primary Duties
Day or evening classroom or clinical instruction, committee work, advising students and other duties as assigned. Travel for clinical teaching assignments may be required.

The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Additional Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing required. Applicants must be eligible for undisciplined, registered nurse licensure in Missouri and Arkansas.

Although Lecturer and Instructor positions are being posted, the department will only be filling one of these positions based on the qualifications of the selected applicant.
Salary: $43,500 – $45,500 Annually
