Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas seeks applicants for Department Head of Nursing to start in August 2014. The successful applicant should have an earned doctorate in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution; current valid licensure as a registered nurse; a scholarly record of achievements in teaching and research that is consistent with an appointment to the rank of Associate Professor or Professor; demonstrated excellence in leadership, administration and resource development; a commitment to teaching excellence; experience with curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with faculty, university administrators, and other constituent groups. Tenure on arrival will be considered for candidates who have earned tenure at another institution.
