Senior Research Scientist (position #2550)

The USF College of Nursing is seeking a doctorally-prepared senior research scientist with exceptionally strong evidence of scholarly activity, continuing program(s) of externally funded research, excellence in teaching and national recognition, and the desire to be part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary education and research environment. We offer degree programs at the bachelors, masters, DNP, and PhD levels. USF is the fastest growing research university in the U.S. We are rated 5th military friendliest and 8th in "Up and Coming" universities in the nation, with the College of Nursing ranked 24th in NIH funding in 2012.

Responsibilities: The focus of this position will be on conducting continuing programs of research, securing external research funding, mentoring faculty and teaching and advising graduate students; engaging in college, university, community and professional service activities commensurate with the rank of associate of full professor.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience): Qualified candidates will possess an earned doctorate in Nursing or a closely related health sciences field from an accredited institution; a proven track record of independent research and demonstrated extramural funding; must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of associate or full professor.

Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience): Experience with technology supported educational methods (online and blended format); demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners; an established/funded program of research; prior experience in faculty academic administration.
