General Description


Minnesota School of Business located in Richfield, MN is currently searching for qualified candidates to apply for the following open position. If interested, please submit your cover letter and resume attached as one document to the link supplied.


Accepting applications for: Full Time Nursing Instructor


Full time instructors are expected to establish adequate on-campus presence to provide support to the program and its students. This position will teach twelve to fifteen (12-15) credit hours per quarter and maintain a minimum of ten (10) office hours per week. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Nursing Program to include: didactic, laboratory, and clinical components. Faculty responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in student advisement; committee work for the Program and the College; and assisting with skills lab testing. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Nursing. This is a twelve (12) month position. The hours may vary and may include some evenings and weekends.


The Nursing Program is located at the Richfield, MN campus. The Nursing Program's faculty and administration are committed to creating and implementing a program with rich clinical experiences for students, with a focus on holistic care in communities.


The School of Nursing is accredited through Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and boasted a 96% percent NCLEX pass rate in 2012. In addition the Globe University/Minnesota School of Business has state-of-the-art simulation and lab space, with a dedicated tutor for nursing students.

Additional responsibilities of this position may include:



  • Develop and present the curriculum as stated in the course syllabus

  • Develop and prepare various teaching methodologies appropriate for the specific course and content

  • Participation to maintain up-to-date curriculum

  • Recommend changes based on industry needs

  • Attend new instructor training, methods seminars, impromptu department meetings and online training as needed or requested

  • Attend graduation

Requirements of this position include:



  • Faculty of this position must meet the academic credentials required through the affiliation of accreditation agencies and other related agencies in monitor of compliance.

  • Master's degree required

  • Two years teaching experience in an academic setting or equivalent

  • Two years prior experience in direct patient care as an RN
