Job Description Summary:

Armstrong Atlantic State University invites applications for a Lab Coordinator position in the Department of Nursing in the College of Health Professions. Applicants are sought for Adult lab and clinical nursing areas. Appointments will begin August 2013.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.


• Experience in baccalaureate education.


• Must commit to teaching, scholarship and service that is consistent with the College and University priorities.


• Technological literacy and a commitment to integrate technology into teaching and scholarship.


• Must be eligible for active unencumbered RN licensure in Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing.


• Experience in online instruction and development, and human simulation.


• Experience working with a diverse student body.


• Certification in a specialty area and/or Nurse Practitioner licensure.

Essential Duties Summary:

• Provide didactic and clinical instruction.


• Advise students and participation in ongoing program and curricular assessment


• Demonstrate continuing professional growth and scholarship development.


• Maintain expertise in areas of responsibility.


• Participate and serve in departmental, college and university committees and initiatives.
