Position Summary:
The University of Indianapolis School of Nursing seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing. This is a tenure-track, twelve month position beginning in January 2014.
The successful candidate will teach primarily in the Graduate Nursing program in the nurse practitioner tracks. Potential teaching responsibilities in the other School of Nursing programs are also available dependent on the applicant's qualifications. The faculty member will also be responsible for student advisement, clinical student site evaluations, curriculum implementation, and evaluation and scholarly productivity. Maintaining clinical practice expertise within the applicant's national certification area is expected and clinical practice within the School of Nursing's nurse managed clinic is required.
Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications):
Proof of an unencumbered registered nursing license with eligibility for licensure in the state of Indiana.
MSN required with doctoral degree preferred.
National certification as a FNP, ANP, GNP or AGNP is required. Family and adult/gerontological certification is preferred.
Prior academic experience in teaching in a School of Nursing is preferred.
