Posting Description: The Department of Neurosurgery has an opening for a master's level NP or PA to support the practice of DBS surgery Neurosurgery faculty member. This job would entail assisting in the coordination, evaluation, monitoring, and management of neurosurgery patients in the clinic setting under the direct supervision of the physician. Performs and records medical histories, physical examinations, follow-up evaluations, progress notes, and telephone calls Communicates with the patients, their families, and/or other physicians when requested by the physician. Reviews ancillary test reports under the direction of the physician, and reports any significant results to the physician. Follows patient on post-hospital discharge to assess their compliance with discharge instructions, to answer any questions, and to assist in the continuity of care. Minimum Qualifications: Masters level mid-level NP or PA.
