He or she should also be familiar with the current use of technology in nursing education, including simulation equipment, web-enhanced instruction or other online teaching methods as well as a current knowledge of registered nursing practice.

- In partnership with university leadership, foster collaborative relationships to drive the development of the Nursing Program at Averett University
- Leverage academic leadership experience to develop curriculum for a competency-based entry-into-practice and RN to BSN program, among other competitive programs, to effectively take the University to the next level
- Lead and support the successful progression of students into and through the nursing program
Qualifications
- Ph.D. and current licensure as a registered nurse in Virginia (and multi-state licensure) with good standing and experience with licensure requirements as set by the Virginia Board of Nursing required
- Minimum of three years' administrative and/or teaching experience in an accredited higher education nursing program to include experience with curriculum development and administration
- Experience with CCNE accreditation process strongly preferred
