A leader in cutting-edge educational endeavors, the University of South Carolina College of Nursing offers innovative BSN, Master's, DNP, and PhD programs, with over 200 BSN graduates annually. The Academic Dean is expected to lead the faculty in the strategic development and implementation of curricula that meet the needs of today's diverse undergraduate and graduate student populations and the demands of complex and changing nursing and healthcare systems.
Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field, be eligible for licensure in South Carolina, be tenure-eligible, have excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate leadership expertise and experience. Successful candidates should have extensive teaching and administrative experience in both undergraduate and graduate nursing education and must share a commitment to diversity among students, faculty and staff.
