Applicants for tenure track positions must have an earned doctorate (U.S. or foreign equivalent) by the time of appointment, evidence of active scholarship and teaching experience. A Doctorate is preferred for Senior Lecturer or Lecturer but is not a requirement. If the applicant is a licensed professional, she/he must be eligible for licensure in Washington State.
The Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Leadership (BA HCL) prepares students from diverse professions and backgrounds for careers in leadership positions across a spectrum of healthcare settings, including healthcare organizations, government, and industry. There are plans for the development of a Master's degree in Healthcare Leadership or a related field.
In addition to the BA HCL program, we offer two nursing degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and a Master of Nursing (MN). The BSN is designed for learners who are registered nurses. The curriculum supports students in developing professionally. The MN program prepares RNs for practice in a range of settings as leaders, managers, care providers, and educators. Additionally, in collaboration with the Education Program, we offer a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD) that includes a pathway for nurse educators.
