Chairperson for rapidly growing nursing department with BSN and ADN Programs. Position is twelve (12) month, tenure-track appointment starting January 1, 2014 is preferred. Duties: Lead strategic planning for department; supervise and evaluate nursing faculty; schedule classes; administer budget; obtain and maintain clinical sites; some teaching required; represent the Nursing Department in university and community functions.; and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Requires a doctorate in nursing (Ph.D . or DNP) and related administrative experience. Rank is dependent on experience and the salary is commensurate upon experience, ranging between $88,000 - $100,000. All SAU employees are expected to demonstrate excellence in interpersonal behaviors and be committed to effective collaboration with colleagues.
