The University of Central Missouri (UCM) Department of Nursing is currently seeking applicants for an on-site, tenure-track Assistant Professor position for Coordinator of RN - BS option. This is a 9-month academic appointment with expectation of summer teaching load. The UCM main campus is located near Highways 50 and 13, approximately 35 miles east of the Kansas City metropolitan area. A second center is located near 50 Highway and Chipman Road in Lee's Summit, MO. The person selected for this position will be assigned to the Main campus, and will primarily work in the Warrensburg area. The University offers both undergraduate and graduate CCNE accredited nursing programs. Applicants for the tenure-track position #998389 must hold a doctorate or be pursuing a doctorate in nursing or related field, hold a Master's degree in Nursing, and have 2 years nursing experience within the last 5 years. Preference will be given to candidates with previous baccalaureate teaching experience, knowledge and expertise in online instruction of nursing courses, and certificate in online teaching/instructional design. Primary responsibilities include oversight of RN to BS Option program. Additional responsibilities include student advisement, assessment of course sections to meet CCNE accreditation requirements; and maintaining course sites according to UCM best practices in instructional design. This includes demonstrated completion of online competency course(s). A current, active RN license in Missouri is required. Completion of doctorate required for tenure consideration.
