The Department of Nursing, at the College of Staten Island (CSI), currently seeks candidates for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This position is anticipated to begin in September 2014. The department offers AAS, RN/BS, and MS (CNS, CNS/NP, and Post Masters NP) nursing programs. Responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, student advisement, performing department and college service, and engagement in an active and productive research agenda. Release time is provided for new faculty's research and scholarly activity. The College of Staten Island is one of 11 senior colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY) and the only public college on Staten Island. Located on a 204-acre, park-like campus, CSI is the largest collegiate site in New York City. The college enrolls approximately 14,000 students and employs more than 2,000 faculty and staff. CSI offers over 80 undergraduate programs, 24 graduate programs, and participates in a wide range of doctoral programs through the CUNY Graduate School and University Center.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for this position include a Master's degree in nursing and an earned Doctorate. Candidates must have their RN license and a commitment to teaching, research, and publication. The successful candidate is expected to have an interest in productive scholarship and to demonstrate the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
COMPENSATION
Assistant Professor: $42,873 - $74,133
Associate Professor: $55,602 - $88,418
