Program Chair Practical Nursing

An institute of higher education in Massachusetts is seeking a qualified nursing professional to serve as its full-time Program Chair for Practical Nursing.

The Chair will be responsible for the management, administration and continuing development of the practical nursing certificate program, including curriculum development, creation of instructional policy, management of faculty (recruiting, mentoring, and assessing), creating clinical affiliation agreements, motivating and academically preparing students to pass the NCLEX examination, and other duties as assigned.


Preferred Skills:

The successful candidate must:



  • Hold a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing

  • Possess an earned master's degree in nursing or an earned entry level doctorate in nursing

  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years full-time nursing experience, or its equivalent, within the last eight (8) years, with at least three (3) years' experience in nursing education

  • Maintain expertise appropriate to administrative responsibilities

  • A strong historical record of student NCLEX passage rate


Compensation:

Compensation varies on experience. A generous benefits package is also included with this position, including paid vacation, and health and dental benefits.
