Assist with student advisement, coordination of matters regarding a student’s progress in the program and student discipline
Participate in ongoing advisement and monitoring of students, faculty and ELM program to ensure compliance with California BRN regulations and the IOM accreditation status,
Ensure ELM program is in compliance. Monitors, CCNE, ACNE, QSEN competencies,
Orienting part-time SON faculty
Ensures that full-time/part-time faculty files are current in regards to RN licensure, CPR, malpractice, and health documentation
Coordinate and ensures completion of annual updates of faculty and student handbooks
Coordinate evaluation of faculty and works with the evaluation committee.
Promote positive relationships with clinical agency personnel and other departments on campus
Attend professional community meetings
Maintain teaching load as assigned
Participate in research and scholarly writing
Serve as a member of the Nursing Program and College Committees as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
Regionally accredited Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Doctorate in a related field is desired.
Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Board of Registered Nursing.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in California
National board certification as a clinical nurse leader.
Experience:
Five + years of experience in the field of nursing, nursing education and/or administration.
Two years teaching in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs and one year as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
