Job Description:
FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION: NURSING INSTRUCTOR : (Division of Health Professions, Associate Degree Nurse Option) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position)
Teach classroom, laboratory and clinical courses in Medical Surgical and Foundations of Nursing in the Associate Degree Nurse Option. Participate in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and revision using defined program outcomes. Maintain office hours and advise students. Participate in College Services Activities.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing required. At least two years full time experience in clinical nursing required. Must have demonstrated currency in professional discipline through continuing education, professional development or scholarly activity. Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment. Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and evaluation; including evidence of competence in employing instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different student learning styles required. Previous teaching experience in associate degree nursing education and teaching experience in a community college setting is required.
Additional Information:
Salary: Anticipated starting salary range is $42,491.00 - $65,000.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
