Position Summary:
The Nursing and Nutrition Department at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Maternal Child Nursing. The Nursing Program offers both a pre-licensure Baccalaureate Program and a RN-to-BS Program. This is a unique opportunity to join a faculty team that encourages educational innovation and supports excellence in teaching as central to practice and scholarship. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include classroom, on-line, clinical and skills lab instruction for Maternal Child Nursing and other nursing courses. Other responsibilities include advancing the mission of the department by contributing to the program development, student advising, as well as service to the department, college and community.
Required Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in Nursing, NYS RN licensure or eligibility for New York State RN licensure is required. Clinical expertise in Maternal Child Health and demonstrated teaching ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
An earned Doctorate in Nursing, Nursing Education or a related field. Experience working with diverse populations. College-level teaching and Simulation Laboratory experience preferred.
