Examples of Duties:

1. Performs practitioner level clinical assessments, and treatment of common acute illnesses, including first aid and urgent care.

2. Provides complete GYN service including: pelvic exams, STD testing, evaluation, and treatment; pregnancy testing, STD/HIV prevention, family planning counseling, and Nextplanon Insertion.

3. Provides first aid and responds to campus emergencies, as well as initiating appropriate interventions in emergency situations.

4. Participates in the ongoing planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive program for a licensed student health center, including current standard of practice in medicine, nursing, staff management, licensed lab and hazardous waste management, insurance/Medi-Cal billing; Family PACT, developing and updating clinical protocols

5. Plans for clinical and health education programs.

6. Has working knowledge in Quality Assurance management of the clinic.

7. Teaches health related topics on an individual and group basis.

8. Writes proposals and grants for special program funding.

9. Coordinates screening and follow-up of communicable diseases including TB and STI.

10. Contributes to efficient clinic operation such as committee work, faculty evaluations, curriculum and program development, student learning outcomes development and assessment, clinical consultation, and in-services for staff and faculty.

11. Works with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds: cultural, social, economic, and sexual orientation.

12. Must be available to work day, evening, and/or Saturday schedules for programs and services as needed.

13. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
