West Coast University, a private university with the singular focus of educating health care professionals, is currently seeking an RN Clinical Instructor to teach Medical/Surgical clinical classes for our Ontario Campus. Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Campus Dean, Nursing delivers clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods; develops daily lesson plans; advises and tutors students; maintains and posts current and accurate attendance and grade records; remains current in applicable program teaching field; participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars and in-service training sessions. Participates in activities such as faculty meetings, student functions, commencement exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university required.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and have a minimum of one year experience in the field in which they teach.
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License required.
- Must have approval by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) prior to assuming the role of clinical faculty member.
- Current Drivers License.
- Current CPR card.
