The College of Nursing is currently seeking faculty with interest and expertise in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. Faculty are responsible for planning, teaching and evaluating all theory and clinical courses. Faculty have responsibilities in teaching research/scholarly activity, and service to the College, University, and profession. Teaching responsibilities may include classroom/didactic instruction, participation in clinical laboratory simulations, demonstration and evaluation of students providing direct patient care in a variety of acute and long term care mental health and substance abuse treatment settings. 9-month tenure track or fixed term faculty position at the rank or assistant level or associate professor level available.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Tenure track positions require a doctorate from an appropriately accredited institution in nursing. Non-tenure requires a Master's degree from an appropriately accredited institution in nursing. A valid non-restricted nursing license is required upon employment. Two years of clinical nursing experience is required. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience and national specialty certification is preferred. Clinical and teaching experience in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
