Education: Master's degree in Nursing is required
Experience:
- Current New Jersey RN license or eligibility to receive license is required
- A minimum of three years' experience as an RN in a clinical setting is required
- Experience teaching Nursing courses is required
- Experience teaching at the college level is required
- Experience using a variety of instructional technologies is required
- Experience teaching courses at the RN level is preferred
- Experience teaching at a community college is preferred
- Experience teaching in an ACEN-approved Nursing program is preferred
- Experience with outcomes assessment is preferred
- Experience with academic advisement is preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement a variety of creative and engaging classroom teaching and learning strategies, classroom assessment techniques, application activities, and motivational strategies.
- Ability to make positive contributions in the areas of governance, course and curriculum development, and new student recruitment.

Reports to: Director of Nursing
Requirements:
Responsibilities of the Position: (This is a tenure-track, 10-month Faculty Association position. Responsibilities of the position are governed by the collective bargaining agreement.)
- Teach day and evening Nursing classes as assigned, primarily in the Associate Degree in Nursing Program [Note that courses may be sequenced into three 10-week sessions scheduled during the regular Fall-Spring academic year schedule.]
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance
- Advise students
- Serve on College committees as assigned
- Participate in professional development activities and College functions
Anticipated start date: January 6, 2014
Spring semester classes begin: January 21, 2014
