Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or BA/BS Degree in a health related field. Master's Degree in Nursing or a health related field preferred. Licensure as a professional registered nurse in New Jersey. Minimum of four years (4) pediatric/neonatal nursing experience and a minimum of two (2) years community nursing experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Certification in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Responsibilities:

The Regional Nurse Administrator (RNA) is the key nursing administrator representing the Child Health Program (CHP) within an assigned DCP&P area. The RNA provides administrative and clinical oversight and supervision of CHP personnel, as well as the direction of nursing clinical systems and activities for an assigned DCP&P area. As a member of the CHP leadership team, the RNA participates in program strategic planning, development and implementation of program initiatives and program evaluation. The RNA is the key liaison to the DCP&P area Director for an assigned DCP&P area and provides nursing expertise at an area and systems level to ensure a smooth interface between CHP and DCP&P systems and personnel, as well as health care planning consistent with the best interests of each child, within the scope of RBHS and DCP&P policies, and within the scope of nursing practice as defined by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. In all activities, the RNA maintains the standards of nursing for RBHS and supports the philosophy,goals and objectives of the Child Health Program.
