Immediate needs for Clinical Adjuncts in ACLS (Albuquerque, NM)


The Adjunct for the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions (ground classes) will provide instruction that incorporates current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual's teaching assignment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:



  • Demonstrates knowledge of the GCU mission and vision, the nursing program mission and philosophy, student learning outcomes, the curriculum model, and clinical expectations.



  • Facilitates student application of theory to clinical.

  • Monitors and evaluates student clinical performance in the management and care of patients, including providing constructive feedback on clinical performance and written work using grading criteria as outlined in the syllabus.

  • Communicates effectively utilizing professional techniques with clinical agency representatives, staff, faculty, and students.

  • Identifies and immediately communicates problem areas/clinical areas of concern to lead faculty and recommends changes and solutions as appropriate.

  • Provides weekly and as needed communication with College of Nursing and Health Care Professions leadership and course faculty concerning student progress including successes and identified needs, clinical issues, suggestions, and professional learning needs utilizing the Communication Form.

  • Demonstrates quality nursing care, problem solving skills, effective use of resources, collaboration with other health professionals, and professional standards as outlined by the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions.

  • Adheres to/enforces the policies and procedures of GCU, the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions, and the clinical facility assigned.


Requirements:



  • 2-5 years in teaching experience preferred, but not required.

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree required to teach Clinical.

  • In order to teach for GCU in the College of Nursing, you must have a valid RN and/or AP license.

  • Additional requirements depending on the subject matter taught in the class.



  • Grand Canyon University promotes a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment drug testing for this position. In addition, employees may be subject to periodic random drug testing.
