Job Description:


The Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Department of Nursing at Worcester State University is pleased to invite applications for part-time adjunct clinical faculty positions in the Master of Science in Nursing Program for the Fall semester of 2014.


Requirements:


All candidates must have a Master's Degree in Nursing (or be matriculated in an MS in Nursing program) and must be eligible for RN licensure in Massachusetts. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.


Our current teaching needs in the undergraduate nursing program are:

Program Manager, LVN to BSN – School of Nursing – Monrovia – Azusa Pacific University – Azusa, CA

Reports directly to the Department Chair for Professional Programs and to the Executive Administrator. This position will be responsible for the operational aspects of the LVN to BSN Program. Offers administrative support for Program Director and Faculty; manages faculty contracts, program expense requests and reports, and marketing activities in coordination with the Director; provides student services; monitors and tracks student information.

Required Education


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred.


Required Experience


3-5 years administration, program management and/or budget experience showing progressively more responsibility for program development and implementation.


Primary Duties/Essential Functions


Receive and refer inquiries (phone, email, walk-ins) about Program.


Support the student admissions process face-to-face and online; provide information to prospective students.


Support recruitment of students by designated recruiters and the Director.


Manage acquisition and monitoring of marketing materials for the Program.


Manage and communicate student program changes and necessary forms.


Manage student services, such as name badges, course access (BBP, HIPAA, OL), etc.


Manage and communicate to students the BRN Public Health Certification application process.


Act as the resource for student referral to resources (student financial & registrar needs).


Offer administrative support for Program Director and Faculty—Attend meetings, prepare and distribute minutes, assist Director with special projects, coordinate the preparation of course materials, etc.


Manage acquisition of and monitoring of current changes to scholarship availability and provide scholarship information to students.


Manage requests for and maintain faculty contracts each semester and track compliance.


Manage the ordering process for textbooks and syllabi and support packets for all courses.


Coordinate LVN to BSN Program events, such as night zero, exit interviews, alumni reunions, etc.


Monitor student compliance of contract requirements and documentation.


Manage schedule preparation for cohorts and classes and procure classrooms.


Manage Program evaluation data (IDEAS, surveys, exit interviews, data, etc.)


Manage BRN required preceptor documentation (license verification, evaluations, etc.)


Manage adjunct faculty needs (desk copies, keys, email accounts, mailboxes, etc.)


Manage marketing activities in coordination with Director.


Manage organization and security of student files.


Create and manage a system to track student information (email addresses), program progression and degree postings).


Manage preparation and tracking of Program expense requests and reports.


Function at expert level with current APU Learning Management System (LMS), Sakai, and support virtual rooms such as Elluminate.


Develop expert skills in emerging educational and communication technologies provided at APU.


Coordinate and manage documentation of out of area/state students’ clinical experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of clinical nursing work experience required.

  • All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Instructor/Assistant Professor of Nursing

Frostburg State University's Nursing Program invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Nursing position to begin Fall 2014. We seek an innovative and creative nursing educator who can contribute to FSU's fully CCNE accredited online RN to BSN program and assist in developing an MSN program. The faculty focuses on quality instruction in the online learning environment and currently is pursing Quality Matter TM certification for all BSN courses. As part of the MSN program development, we plan to pursue certification for all MSN courses as well.


Responsibilities: Teach 12 credit hours per semester in a growing online RN to BSN program. Assist in program administration and development of the MSN program. Duties will include student advising, curriculum design, recruiting, and participation on departmental committees. The successful candidate will display evidence of leadership skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and an ability to work collaboratively. University and community service and relevant professional development will be expected.


Minimum Qualifications: Earned Master's degree in Nursing or related field (with 9 graduate credits in Nursing Education if degree is not in Nursing). Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in Maryland. Completion of doctoral degree in Nursing or related field expected prior to tenure.

ROLE of the POSITION

The School of Nursing at UNLV, a CCNE accredited program at undergraduate and graduate levels, invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, 3-semester faculty position to teach psychiatric nursing in the undergraduate program. This position may be filled by a lecturer (non-tenure-track) or Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track). Primary responsibilities of a non-tenure-track and tenure-track appointment are to (1) collaborate with other faculty in course development; (2) participate in the presentation of theoretical community health nursing content; (3) use teaching resources, such as WebCT and SIMMan to foster learning; (4) provide clinical supervision for students in the clinical area; and (5) participate in university, professional and community service activities. Additional responsibilities for a tenure-track appointment include (6) engaging in research leading to publications in quality, refereed journals; and (7) seeking internal and external grant funds.


Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year round, using a trimester sequence.


QUALIFICATIONS

Lecturer (non-tenure-track): the individual must hold a master's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing with an emphasis in community health. The applicant must hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license.

Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track): the individual must hold a master's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in community health and a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited College or university.
