The University of Mary Hardin Baylor's College of Nursing seeks three Assistant / Associate Professors (one position in each of the specialization areas of Maternal Child Nursing
Community Nursing, and Leadership and Management) beginning in August of 2014. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.
The College of Nursing offers an undergraduate degree program in Nursing, a RN to BSN Program and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
UMHB is conveniently located in Belton, an historic town of 18,000 in the heart of central Texas. Excellent schools, abundant cultural and recreational opportunities, and a high quality of life are hallmarks of the local community.
Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all faculty include exemplary teaching, curriculum development and student advising; professional attainment; and service to department, college, university, and the community. While primarily a teaching institution, UMHB recognizes and rewards research, publication, and other forms of scholarly attainment.
Specific Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in either Community Nursing, Maternal Child Nursing, or Leadership and Management. Full-time faculty members typically teach 12 to 14 credit hours per semester which includes leading a clinical group for 12 or 16 clock hours each week.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing is required. Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred. Tenure track requires terminal degree in hand. Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential. Must be active, committed Christian.
