Penn State Abington invites applications for the position of Instructor in Nursing in the RN to BS Nursing Program. The preferred start date is AUGUST 18, 2014. The appointment will be a 42- week contract, with the possibility for renewal dependent on performance and program enrollment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Campus Coordinator for Nursing to assist in the management of the Baccalaureate Degree Program for Registered Nurses at Penn State Abington, with particular responsibility for coordination of off-site courses in our partnership programs. Teaching responsibilities will include a course assignment with some release time for the administrative duties and student advising. The applicant is also expected to participate in university and campus committees and meetings as required, as well as participate in the recruitment and orientation of new students.
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related field is required. Additional requirements include eligibility for Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure. Administrative and college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
