The Ohio University School of Nursing seeks two (2) non-tenure track faculty candidates with a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. This is a full-time term 11 month appointment starting spring semester. Faculty appointments are made with an annual contract at the lecturer of nursing level.
Faculty are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using distance learning management systems and traditional teaching delivery modalities. Additionally, advising is considered a part of the faculty role, and faculty participate in advising students in their designated programs.
Distance education platforms are a part of the RN to BSN, BSN, and MSN online programs and require faculty to have expertise in distance education teaching methods.
Remote positions available with doctoral credential earned and experience in online teaching.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's in Nursing.
Eligibility for Ohio RN license.
A minimum of two years of teaching or clinical experience.
Licensed as an RN in the United States for a minimum of two years.
A minimum of two years work experience as an RN in the United States.
Remote positions available with doctoral credential earned and experience in online teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
A clinical background in a specific area of practice, a doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred. Advance practice certification at the Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner level is highly desirable.
