Adjunct Faculty

Excelsior College has a growing list of online courses in academic areas at the undergraduate and graduate level and needs faculty with terminal degrees to fill a variety of faculty and consulting positions for:

• Business and Technology


• Health Sciences


• Nursing


• Liberal Arts


• Master of Arts in Liberal Studies - instructional faculty and individuals who are interested in directing 1 to 6 credit independent learning contracts (usually twelve week duration) and MA theses on interdisciplinary topics (6 month project).


• Subject Matter Experts - project-based with a set number of hours or days assigned. Masters degree, teaching experience with the last two years on the academic level you will be consulting required.

These positions are filled on a contractual basis.

Excelsior is looking for qualified, experienced teaching faculty. Many courses are expected to run in multiple sections. Each course generally runs for 15 weeks and is delivered via Blackboard. Courses are generally asynchronous. Students complete assignments, engage in discussions, and take quizzes and exams on Blackboard.
