Posting Description: University of Colorado School of Medicine Instructor/Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Section, Dept. of Pediatrics The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Section has an opening for a Part-Time PNP to work in the Department of Pediatrics, caring for pediatric patients of all age ranges, developmental, nutritional and physiological status in the inpatient setting at Children's Hospital Colorado Network of Care locations, as well as the Main Campus in Aurora. This includes a combination of a variety of inpatient conditions, working closely with a hospitalist attending. History and physical examinations and determination of treatment plans. Minimum Qualifications: Current CO RN license, Masters in Nursing from accredited program, completion of PNP program. PNP certification through PNCB or ANCC that is current. Current BLS is required. PALS required within 6 months of hire, and NRP is recommended.

Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Knowledge of a variety of inpatient conditions Superior customer service, communication, organizational and prioritization, problem solving and collaboration skills are necessary. Expertise and training in history and physical examinations and determination of treatment plans necessary.

Desired Qualifications: 5 years of experience in pediatrics highly preferred. Current CO state prescriptive authority preferred. Inpatient experience and well-newborn experience highly preferred. Acute care certification is preferred.
