Lecturer of Nursing

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado invites nominations and applications for the position of Lecturer, Nursing position #F99816. This 9-month, annually renewable contract position requires Masters in Nursing. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in traditional, online, and clinical settings. Experience working with high and low fidelity clinical simulation is preferred and evidence of excellence within the clinical setting is required.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a Master's in Nursing and eligibility for or possession of an unencumbered RN license in the State of Colorado by start date. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in traditional and online settings, evidence of clinical excellence, and an interest in serving the college, university, and nursing profession at large.


Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in nursing at the baccalaureate or higher levels, and recent clinical experience.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, life, and dental insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
