Assistant Professor of Nursing (Critical Care)

The Department of Nursing at Arkansas Tech University, a public, state-supported, primarily undergraduate teaching institution, with some graduate programs invites applications for a 9-month academic year, tenure-track position to teach a full-time load equivalent to twelve credit-hours per semester as a classroom and clinical undergraduate faculty. The application deadline is March 3, 2014 and the position, which includes a comprehensive benefits package, begins August 2014.

The Department of Nursing offers ACEN (formerly NLNAC) accredited BSN, online RN to BSN, and MSN in Nursing Administration and Emergency Management programs. Required qualifications include: a masters degree in nursing, an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field, a minimum of two years clinical experience, a minimum of one year of academic teaching experience in either classroom or clinical, an Arkansas nursing license (or must be eligible to obtain one). Experience in the following is also required: acute medical-surgical and/or critical care nursing. Preferred qualifications include additional classroom, online, and simulation teaching experience, and computer literacy. Will provide service to the department, college, and profession through committee work, student advising, program assessment and curriculum development as well as engagement with external partners and other duties as assigned.
