Assistant Professor of Nursing (Management)

The Department of Nursing at Arkansas Tech University, a public, state-supported, primarily undergraduate teaching institution, with some graduate programs invites applications for a 9-month academic year, tenure-track position to teach a full-time load equivalent to twelve credit-hours per semester as an undergraduate and graduate program faculty. The application deadline is March 3, 2014 and the position, which includes a comprehensive benefits package, begins August 2014.

The Department of Nursing offers ACEN (formerly NLNAC) accredited BSN, online RN to BSN, and MSN in Nursing Administration and Emergency Management programs. Required qualifications include: a master's degree and PhD in nursing, a minimum of two years clinical experience, a minimum of two years academic teaching experience including classroom and online, an Arkansas nursing license (or must be eligible to obtain one), and computer literacy. Preferred qualifications include experience in nursing management or administration; experience supervising student research. The candidate should demonstrate ability to develop a successful research program that includes collaborative work with colleagues and incorporates experiences for undergraduate students. Will provide service to the department, college, and profession through committee work, student advising, program assessment and curriculum development as well as engagement with external partners and other duties as assigned.
